All of the usual buyers were in attendance and bidding was stronger on some of the classes of cattle offered.

Cow numbers were similar to last week and heavyweight beef breed cows remained firm, they sold from 190c to 230c, lightweights lifted 15 to 20c and sold from 160 to 195c.
Grown heifers attracted strong trade and processor demand and sold up to 265c.
Few vealers were yarded and the quality was only average, trade buyers were active, bidding was very solid on any prime lots and prices remained firm on strong recent sales, vendors were rewarded with prices up to 310c.
Prime yearlings were fewer, trade and processor buyer bidding was strong. Steers sold from 275 to 290c and heifers returned 240 to 265c.
A good selection of store condition cattle sold to erratic competition. Lightweight cattle were shunned by buyers, however well bred stores weighing in excess of 300kg lwt attracted stronger feeder bidding. They lifted 5 to 10c and steers returned 260 to 285c while heifers sold from 230 to 260c/kg lwt.
